Julia’s Guitar

A couple weeks ago, friends of ours gave us a child’s guitar. Julia, who is going to be 5 next Sunday, has carried around “her” guitar and has played it while we’re listening to music or makes up her own songs. She constantly sings songs to Jeremiah; he seems to be her muse.  Here are some of the words she sang, “Jeremiah, I love you, You are the bestest at what you do.” She had another line that rhymed with that one; I just couldn’t write it down fast enough.  Her guitar has a strap and also a plastic stand. She taped some of her favorite things onto her guitar, a picture of her at Chucky Cheese, a princess credit card, also acquired at Chucky Cheese, a blue/white/pink plate that came with her teaset she got for Christmas, and a pair of tiny Polly Pocket pink pants.  She’s left-handed, so she many times holds it upside down and strums.  She looks very comfortable walking around or sitting on a tall stool with her guitar.  When she’s not strumming on her guitar, she sometimes strums on her belly.  A possible music career?? who knows…but it sure is fun to watch.
